Over 1.8m high needs an extra board row per bay — see the fencing guide.
How many fence boards per bay?
Composite fence boards slot horizontally between posts to make a 1.8m bay. A standard 1.8m-high bay takes 12 standard (15cm) boards (2 packs) or 6 wide (30cm) boards (1 pack). Divide your run by 1.8m for the number of bays.
| Fence run | Bays | Posts |
|---|---|---|
| 5.4m | 3 | 4 |
| 10.8m | 6 | 7 |
| 18m | 10 | 11 |
What else you will need
You need one post between each bay plus one at each end (posts come in packs of 4), and either concrete or a post fitting kit to fix them. Colour-matched trims and lattice toppers finish the top.
