Description

Ultra Step is one of the densest underlays in the Carpenter range — 180kg/m³, which is what makes it the go-to for stairs and stair runners. Density matters more than thickness on stairs: it absorbs the impact of foot traffic before that impact reaches the carpet, which is what extends the carpet's life on the part of the house that wears it out fastest.

Specs

Roll size: 15m² (11m × 1.37m)
Thickness: 9mm
Density: 180kg/m³
Tog rating: 2.51
Noise reduction: 40dB

Plenty of customers also use it through the rest of the house if the household is busy. The combination of density and thickness gives strong protection underfoot without feeling spongy.
