The top is Italian sintered ceramic in the finish called Champagne and Sunset Vein — a warm white ground crossed with champagne, rust and graphite veining. The same surface goes onto kitchen worktops in Milanese apartments: stain-proof, heat-stable, won't scratch under a casserole dish.

It starts at 140 cm round and swivels open on a butterfly mechanism. A single lever, no panels to lift; the centre leaf appears and the round becomes a 190 × 140 cm oval. 75 cm to the top, sits on a fluted champagne-toned pedestal — pleated like a column, no spindly legs to kick.

Four upholstered chairs sit round the closed circle without crowding; six along the extended oval still leaves room to push back.
