Questions we get asked

Which type of flooring is right for my room?
Kitchens, bathrooms and hallways do best with LVT or SPC, which cope with moisture and heavy traffic. Bedrooms and lounges suit laminate or engineered wood, which feel warmer underfoot. We go room by room in our flooring buyer's guide.
Is your flooring suitable for underfloor heating?
Many of our click-fit laminates and LVT ranges are, but not all, and solid wood is the fussiest about it. Every product page states whether a floor is underfloor-heating compatible. If in doubt, check with us before ordering.
How much extra should I order for cutting and wastage?
Add around 5 percent to your room measurement for a standard straight-plank layout, and closer to 8 percent for herringbone or a diagonal lay, where there are more cuts. It is far cheaper to order a little over than to run short and wait on a second batch to match.
Do I need underlay?
Usually yes, unless the floor has underlay already attached. The right underlay evens out small imperfections in the subfloor, adds a little warmth and quiet, and helps the floor last. We will match the correct underlay to your chosen floor if you ask.
Do you deliver flooring for free?
Flooring is delivered free on orders over £500 to the UK mainland. Below that a small delivery charge applies, and you will see it clearly at checkout before you pay.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes, with genuinely interest-free finance on furniture. Pay it off over several months and you pay back exactly what the item cost, not a penny more. We never charge interest, full stop. You will see the finance option at checkout.
What is your returns policy?
You have 28 days to return an unused item in its original condition. The one cost that falls to you is return postage on an unwanted item, because larger furniture is not cheap to send back. If something has actually gone wrong with the item, that is a different conversation and it is on us.
